I hold a Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate and I have experience in providing expert witness reports and testimony to the Family Courts on parenting capacity, capacity to change assessments and children's mental health and attachment needs.
I have delivered training to wide range of professionals (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, school staff and children's youth workers). Topics I have delivered training on include; understanding children's attachment needs, understanding what is mental health, mentalizing skills for social workers, understanding trauma
As Clinical Lead of the Looked After and Adopted Children's service, I have worked very closely with Buckinghamshire social care providing consultation on cases and advice regarding children's therapeutic needs or placements. Consultations are available to all professionals who would like a psychological perspective on a young person. These can be provided as a one-off consultation or as a regular consultation service according to the needs of your organisation.
I have experience in delivering reflective practice sessions to teams. Some of my experience has included reflective practice sessions to social workers working in the Court team, social workers working with children who are looked after, small groups of workers affected by secondary (vicarious) trauma from cases. I have also delivered reflective practice to staff working in children's residential homes.
